Topic: Strap Locks

Just thought I'd mention somet bout these, I aint too sure what hardware stores around where you guys / gals live are like but I recently lost a nut off my Schaller Strap lock and I practically cant find a replacement (which puts me in the predicament of having to buy a new set for a gig tonight sad)

Just thought I'd post for anyone considering them to bare in mind replacing the bits might be harder then just sticking a thick rubber gromit over ur old strap pegs (does practically the same job cept no quick release) :x

Re: Strap Locks

If you use 2 strap locks, I've found that the front one is the only one I really need. In a pinch you may be able to get by with just the top one...(unless you do that spin around your neck thing smile )
I never use the back one on any of my straps anymore.

Re: Strap Locks

uno ken what a good point i only ever use the top quick release.....saying that though i think its the bottom one that always comes off the strap I'll give it a whirl b4 I put this new one on

Re: Strap Locks

I'd contact Schaller, if they're cool about it, they could send you some replacements...

Ask me about my handwound Great Lakes Guitar Pickups
Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool

Re: Strap Locks

Try the top from a Grolsch beer bottle.....the old rubber stopper type. Not as good as a Schaller but will get you out of a tight spot.
