Topic: perfect concert lineup

Just a question that crossed my mind. here goes.

If you could go to some festival featuring a certain 3 acts... who'd they be??

for me

1. Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble
2. Joe Bonamassa
3. Albert King

obviously they don't have to be alive right now to be on the list.

I hope you mean the Beatles without the screaming teenage girls and pee soaked floor.

1. Stevie

2. Eric Johnson

3. Sonny Landreth

4. Robben Ford

5. Eric Clapton (with Cream, Derek and the Dominoes, and Delaney and Bonnie)

6. Jonny Lang (say what you will about him going gospel, I like him)

7. The Allman Bros

8. Brad Paisley

9. The Chili Peppers

10. Led Zeppelin

11. Joe

I covered all my bases...

Re: perfect concert lineup

Haha no kidding man. Mr. Mayer has really come out of his pop shell. I've got a pirated version of his new DVD around here somewhere...I should take a look at it.

Living perfect concert lineup: Eric Clapton, Robben Ford and Joe.

Re: perfect concert lineup

To be fair you could have Sonny Landreth, Gov't Mule, The (Current) Allman Brothers Band, ZZ Top, the list goes on...

Re: perfect concert lineup

My festival would be at The Royal Albert Hall .

David Gray - Only warm- up man ;better than those tube subways though.

Joe Bonamassa-Better live than on album (?).Who's been working on those songs ?

Emerson, Lake and Palmer -  John Peel called them "A tragic waste of talent and electricity"*

*I say any band that can play long complex parts like that and stay tight as a drum deserve a listen.

For me it doesn't get any better than the White Ladder album. Look it up all you people who've never heard of David Gray. It sounds like Irish/folk/pop....solo acoustic stuff... very good!!!

NPB ,I'm glad you've heard of David Gray.My favourite album is quite an early one, Lost Songs.I think David captures some of the magic of early pre-electric Dylan. 'Lost songs' has some very strong tracks on it, not to be missed. He likes plenty of reverb on the tracks, probably because he spent so long busking the underground subways in London !

Anyone interested can hear him on this link http://www.davidgray.com/flash/DG_player.html

Recomended track - Flame Turns Blue
