OMG Libbers!!!!! This was well worth the wait! You truly have a gift. I'm sorry for the "drunk" incident. I've been amazed over the years at how free of drama blue's fests tend to be. And, I don't care if he's 98. Pinetop is still cruising for chicks!! Should give solice to our elder forum gents! Thanks for taking the time to give us this little treat! Cathy

Re: Doheny 5/18

(refrain) OMG Libbers!

I've only now managed to get Cathy off the pc.......have just skimmed 'The incredible Novella Doheny' and will (no doubt) return with heaps of awe and praise once I've had the time to read it all.

Talk about a labor of love!!!!

OH  MY  GOD

My dearest Libby,

Thank you for this epic postzilla (another of your wonderful inventions!). I am humbled, overcome, and awestruck. This is already the post of the year, the review of all reviews, the standard by which future concert reviews shall be measured - and fail.

This should be published. I mean it. Your multi-talented artistic mastery clearly also extends to the use of words. It was an honor, a privilege, and a great joy to read this epic!!!

ALL HAIL LIBBERS, SCRIBE EXTRAORDINAIRE!

Dear Sister Libby .... Wow ! Now I don´t have any words left - exept that all the waiting was worth it and that I nominate your novela as "Show Review of the year" !!

Even though I was sitting on my chair at home in not-so-warm Germany (at least at the moment), I was completely with you over there on the beach at Doheny ... watching the little Dolphins march along with Joe wink.
Incredible, Libby !

And your words about Joe are so true - he really is THE man ... Amen! smile

Thank you Libby for that "dream-away-review" !!

Eva

P.S.: I also wondered what B.B. and the Blues Shaks were doing at Doheny - I always thought they´re only popular over here ...

Eva - yep, there it is - FINALLY!!!!  I'm so glad that you enjoyed it.  You are too kind liebling.  smile

I think your B.B. and the Blues Shacks won some sort of International Blues Artists award or something.  I don't know how or why Omega Events found them, but, they not only performed at the Festival - they were also the band at the After Party on Saturday night (which we didn't attend).  YOU will have to tell US more about them because their website and MySpace page are in GERMAN.  A bit difficult for ME to figure out!!!

It is my pleasure to provide mental vacations to Doheny or other fabulous locales to the weather challenged Forum family members - wherever they may be.  smile  I ask you, where ELSE can you march along with Joe AND Flipper at the same time??!!!

Re: Doheny 5/18

I am so lucky.  First, Joe comes into my life and fills it with his incredible presence.  Seeing him, and listening to him then motivates me to explore further - get out more - see more - do more.  Then, I stumble in here one day and - voila - within no time at all, I have an abundance of MORE incredible new people in my life - from around the globe.  Then, one by one, strangers have become FRIENDS!!  You all make me laugh, make me learn, make me wonder, and make me proud.  Now, you've made me blush - and smile.

I would like to thank each and every one of you for your MOST GENEROUS praise and encouragement.  I have not received any of it lightly, but with the same sincere appreciation in which I believe it was given.

With humble gratitude,

Re: Doheny 5/18

Hi Libby

I can't believe that I had not seen this review until now, even when you emailled me the other day - I guess we miss things when we have two kids under 3 years old.
I've not yet read the review, but I have copied and pasted it to word so I can read it at my leisure through the day (its 12 pages long), and because I should not be on the web that long at work. Will report back in 7 hours!
