Topic: Oakland A's Tix, Cheaper By The Hit

I'm watching the A's pound the Angels in Anaheim tonight and the A's have a ticket offer that's working out nicely for the fans. For every hit the A's get in tonights game the price of a $24.00 Plaza Level ticket for this Sunday's game is discounted $1.00. It's only the 6th inning and the A's have 16 hits, YOWZA!!! At the rate they're going they may have to pay people a buck or two to sit in those seats. No doubt the front office wasn't expecting this. The Giants have a similar promotion for every strikeout that Tim Lincecom gets when he pitches.

                                                                                                 J Dawg

P.S. They have 18 hits now in the 7th, wonder if those seats are sold out yet? The announcers just said 23 is the max. Whoops!, make that 19.

P.S.S. Just checked the website, there's only a handful of those tix left and the game isn't even over. I hope they didn't throw that deal out there knowing they pretty much had those seats already sold. The tix left come with an obstructed view warning.

P.S.S.S. Final total 20 hits, oh yeah the A's won the game too.

What is success? Is it do yo' own thang, or is it to join the rest?   -Allen Toussaint

Very cool.  I miss my front row center field seats at RFK Stadium last year for the Nationals.  5 BUCKS A SEAT!
