Topic: Chris Duarte in London

Hi folks. We went as planned to London on Saturday to see Chris Duarte. It was a four hour drive for hubby. Got there about half an hour before the doors opened. The venue was good but the turnout was very low. The place was less than half full. But the fans there were very enthusiastic.
He started off with the Bob Dylan song One More Cup of Coffee followed by Crazy, Big Legged Woman, Just Kissed My Baby, Baddness, Sun Prairie Blues and 101. Then he took a break and came back with C Butt, I'll Never Know, Leave Her Be, R U 4 Real and My Way Down. Then for an encore he played Drivin' South.
I really enjoyed the show and Chris's energy, he really gave his all. He had Jeff Reilly on drums and Joseph Patrick Moore on bass.
When the finished he came out to sign cd's posters etc and was really friendly. I said that I was sorry that there weren't more people there and he said " That's ok, you were here". How sweet!
After the gig we went for a curry and then Hubby drove us all the way home. Thanks Hubby, mwah.
I have posted some vids on You Tube. Here's a link to Big Legged Woman

Re: Chris Duarte in London

I was first in line last time we saw Chris - he must have noticed because after we took
our seats he came out and gave me some of his guitar strings and other autographed
stuff - just a fantastic guy - he took time for pictures after the 3 hour show.  Our
venue was not even half full either - can't figure it out ....

Re: Chris Duarte in London

I really enjoy his shows. He goes full out from the 1st note. Unbelievable energy. Since I LOVE a ripping guitar, I smile thru the whole show. Another performer you must see live to really appreciate. Sorry he didn't play "Something Wicked", that song is sexy beyond words....   Cathy
