Joe gave me 2 cd's and a dvd in Utrecht.
The dvd is live" at workplay" by Monty Mongomery.
I can recommend it to you all.

I looked at the live concert agenda and Monty M.is playing next month in Zoetermeer.
Hope i be able to see him play live then and feel the fibe wihich is on the dvd.

I can also recommend Monte. When Joe played the MN Zoo last September Monte was also on the bill sandwiched between Crosby and Joe. Great player! He just recently signed with Provogue Records in Europe (Joe's label). I think he has shows in April and May over in Europe.
I saw him play once, he does lead/rock solos on an acoustic?
I thought he looked like a 'parrot head' at first glance, but he was pretty good. Got turned onto Monte from a friends dad. I quickly responded by plugging Joe. lol
Yes, Monte is a friend and a tremendous player. Joe and Monte have shared the stage more than once together. A couple of years ago they did some songs together when both played the Lake Austin Blues Festival.
He has been known to play that acoustic guitar through a Marshall stack with full pedal boards -- don't know how he controls the feedback on that rig; have seen him actually tear the strings off it during the encore. Little Wing has a whole new twist.
Good original material, however his cover of "Sara Smile" by Hall & Oates is pretty damn good.

I just heard about this guy and found this youtube clip. I did a search for him on the forum here to see if anyone had been talking about him...figures you all would be one step ahead of me! If this clip is representative of his work, sign me up. Absolutely TOP shelf stuff. Nice, very very nice.
Saw Monte awhile back in Berkeley with Bluezman Daryll and he knocked us out. I think I posted a link to him playing with Daryl Hall on Darylsgarage.com covering Sarah Smile, very good stuff. Been waitin' for him to come around again.

He does an excellent show with Daryl Hall at "Live from Daryl's House". Well worth a look. One of the best shows on the net with one of the best bands you could ever find. Great musicians.

Isaw him over a year ago at the Luminere. I'd recommend him to anyone.
He is another one who deserves to be playing to bigger crowds.
Monte Montgomery is great!
My favourite is a YouTube video showing him playing superstition on an acoustic guitar (with Appice & Bogert I think).
Unfortunally it was deleted.

Thanks, I was havin' trouble tryin' to remember that website of Daryl's. The garage is at least attached to the house, LOL.
