Re: "Smoke On The Water" REALLY 'Made In Japan'

The instrumentals in the beginning were "interesting", the vocals advanced it into the land of the strange, and the soloist.......well, the word BiZaRrO comes to mind.

HERE'S the interesting thing to me......

A few minutes ago, from the kitchen, I heard a song playing in the background, glanced up at the TV and saw a new Jaguar commercial playing.....I listened more closely and asked my hubby, "Hmmmm....isn't that Deep Purple, playing "Hush"?"  I went on to say, "I have that record somewhere......you sure don't hear about them very often, do you?"  Well, he was too entranced with the basketball game that had popped back on to really reply to me......and, I turned back to the computer, opened this thread, and WHAT did I see????

TOOOOOOOO WEIRD!!!!!  This kind of thing happens to me ALL THE TIME.  This, SPECIFIC kind of coincidence - where some reference is made to something unusual from the past and within hours (sometimes MINUTES), it is THERE again, in my face.  What does it mean?  I mean, it's probably been about 20 years since the words "Deep Purple" have come out of my mouth.....and then within MINUTES......talk about BiZaRRo!!!!  Really, I cannot begin to tell you how often this happens to me......

Anyone else?

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-

Just watched a very interesting "documentary" on VH1 Classic, "Classic Albums - Machine Head".   Very cool, lots of stuff I didn't know even though I was somewhat of a DP fan.  Check your local listings, or I think you can buy them too...I bought the "Night at the Opera" one, it's from something like Eagle Publishing.  I've seen quite a few....always educational.
