Sorry I'm going to bump this again!
Having heard that David Gogo did a few low key shows in the UK a month ago, I started listening to more of his work, having only heard the VIBE album before. i have to say most of his work is of a very high standard. In particular I would mention the album Halfway To Memphis which is a superb disc of blues rock. It includes Cathy's fav A Man's World, the uptemp shuffle Soul Fever, a great slide song in I Should Have Lied and covers of Louisiana Blues and Night Time. I've not heard Skeleton Key as yet, but I see it also has some good reviews.
The guys is head and shoulders above most blues rock from either side of the Atlantic and you can tell from both his guitar and vocal phrasing that he is a student of the masters of blues, which his own individual rocking style and very impressive song writing.
I find it hard to believe this man is not bigger, I assume it must be due to distribution issues with his record company as he really deserves to be better known.
If you do not have Gogo in your collection, please ask someone to put some in your Xmas stocking, you will not regret it!
