Erin go Braugh-less....I certain I've spelled it wrong. I never thought of it being a National Holiday, but of course in Ireland..Dah.. If drinking and peeing green is your thing..today's the day!! Like Roy said, please be safe..walk or get a ride..We need everyone of you! So I tip my derby to all our Irish friends...(Question..is this also a Scottich Holiday?)   Cathy

Re: St Patrick's Day

Top o' the marnin' to ya all. Please do the Irish proud today and as you tip your pints of Guinness or Harp lager play some Rory loud enough to wake the dead. Sister Catey, tis spelled erin go brach lassy. I'll be consuming a few libations and stuffing myself with a hellawicked corn beef a friend cooks every year down at O'Leary's Pub and will be shuttled to and from my house in the new free ride service some of the bar owners set up here in Benicia to stifle our overzealous police force. Of course I'm already overcome with thoughts of my Irish Grandfather I never got the chance to meet.

Top of the afternoon to all of my forum friends!  Though I'm not as purely Irish as our own dear Patty Patrick, most of my blood does run fairly green, my hair flows auburn, my cheeks are rosy, I tend to be friendly to neighbors and strangers, and, I do LOVE a sad song.....and so, I'll leave you with a smile and a tear as I share three versions of one of my favorites, "Danny Boy".  Enjoy......

It isn't a scottish holiday but as we have such close links with the emerald isle we do like to celebrate the day. Or is that just down to scots being party animals?  wink
