Re: Angels Among Us

I got the most incredible package of "Joe stuff" today from someone on this forum today.  It just all took me by surprise, as I wasn't expecting it.  And this person and I had only corresponded once.  This person is an angel.  There are a lot of angels on this forum.  You know Joe said it best when he said that it is unbelievable the number of friendships that have formed from this forum and he is quite proud of it.  Thanks again "Angel of Joe."  You know who you are.                                       pattyluvsjoe

Look out for white feathers where they shouldn't be. Too much information for this site maybe. Nuff said wink

I have a really good white feather story Geoff.  Makes me weepy just thinking about it.  Maybe I'll tell it later.

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-

Re: Angels Among Us

P.S.  Patty - I sent you a little email a few days ago.

Re: Angels Among Us

Sometimes it's sad....I just seem to find them in the most unusual places.

Re: Angels Among Us

Patty..You are easy to love..Not a mean bone in your body! I'm betting I know who it was and think he has the biggest, kindest heart..But no matter who, you deserve nothing but love back! You are the forum cheerleader afterall and now the Queen of Hearts!  Cathy

Re: Angels Among Us

Cathy,  You are much too kind with your words, but thank you.  The "he" is actually a "she."
All of this helps me offset the stress, worry, anxiety of figuring out how to get my son
off to college.  I know I'm not the only one in this boat and I'm sure there are plenty
of people on this forum who have wrestled with the same alligator and have had to
do it more than once.  It's always the unknown we seem to fear the most.  I am con-
fident that this same time next year, I will be visiting him at college.  Thanks again
            Cathy ?                                                                Patty

Re: Angels Among Us

On a serious note Patty..Is it that your son doesn't want to go or just all that has to be done to get him there? If you have a community college in your area..studies have shown kids do well starting there. Freshman year is so different than the high school experience. A cc gives them time to learn how to go to college. Just a thought and good luck! I also want to add there are numerous angels on this forum. Speaks volumes about Joe's fans....Cathy

He definitely wants to go, electrical engineer, already admitted, downpayment on room, couple of scholarships already.....we're on our way...very good student...I just tend to worry too much sad ,
I was a teen when I went to college and my Mom handled it all, so it's just the unknown and where all the $$ will come from to make it,etc....  Iowa State University, student population over 26,000.  Thanks for your concern and advice, you BonaAngel you smile   Patty

Re: Angels Among Us

Patty-I think I understand how you are feeling, everyone can tell you its a natural process of letting go, blah, blah, blah...your heart doesn't take that into consideration...I never worried before I had children and I think I've only heard you mention your one son, so your situation is a little more intense if your shipping your only child off to college, which calls for putting me on your speed dial...:) smile smile e-mail me, I'm 6 months into the first college year, the beginning was really hard, but the more settled in he got, the better I felt.  Also, I just decided to get an IM thingy like the kids because when days go by and I don't hear from him, I jump on my daughter's and just say hi and are you ok, I worry less that way.
