Oh Pete, ask and you shall receive.
Hmmmm......I've been hangin' around here for about 10 days and already have TWO nicknames......Andre called me "Turbo Libby" a few days ago, and now Pete's callin' me "Lightning Libby". Yes, it does seem as if I've contributed a post here or there in my short time on the forum. Let's just put it this way - I know NOT the meaning of the word moderation. I'm also not known for my brevity (as if you hadn't noticed). I should probably try to work on that so you all can get on with the rest of your lives instead of having to struggle thru my lengthy posts.
By the way, if it isn't glaringly obvious, please let me say that I have thoroughly enjoyed the time I've spent here with all of you.
Libby
I've done some quick math Libby...at the rate your going, you will hit bonametal status around May 20th...I think that will be your "boniversary"....wasnt your first Joe show last May in San Juan Capistrano?....now that would be some great timing, dontcha think?
Dave
I usually check early in the morning (drinking the rocket fuel like Shredit), sometimes at work when my meeting load is light and sometimes I just need a break from the fracking computer (because that's what I do all day) and find something else to do on the weekends. Yeah, strange, I know.
BUT I will not abdicate the throne anytime soon. numbers do not affect that.
carry on!edited to add: hope thats cool. thanks (its like penance for past transgressions,OK)
I'm selling dispensation and I never go off topic...what did you say the thermostat was set at? That's too cold for the Mexican Hairless.

teeheehee
I try to check in once a day either before or after work!
millhouse:):):):)
I guess i check a few times a day- im loving knowing whats going in the world of Joe and fans! i never log out though- because i am signed up to so many things i get sick of writing my username and password in so the things i check the most- ie this and facebook- is permanently left on! Oh well!
So.....HOW OFTEN....probably TOO often.....I'm beginning to wonder whatever shall l do when my houseguests arrive in a few days???.....but, I just can't help myself. I ask you.....
How can I NOT check in to see what's goin' on with Joe and the guys while they're across the pond?
How can I NOT see what new tidbits of VITAL infomation are here, just waiting to be absorbed by my sponge-like brain?
How can I NOT reply to people, or, look to see if they've replied to me?
I think it was that Rascally Roy who said, very early on in my Forumship, "Libby, I think you've got it baaaaaaaaad". I confess, it's an affliction, but one I'm happy to suffer with.
Please allow me a moment to leave a few messages for my new friends who were speakin' to me thru this thread:
Sweet Pete - Just this......
J Dawg - Very funny, young man. Now that you've brought up horseraces, this lil' filly is gonna have to email you a special gift. Meanwhile, although I'm certainly not posting to compete with anyone, I WILL do my level best to keep it fun and exciting for you.
Andre - Ahhh.....to be mentioned in the same sentence as Mr. Bonamassa himself. I am honored, indeed. Merci.
Shred - If your math is correct and I reach Bonametal status in May, perhaps I should shoot for May 25. THAT would be the anniversary of our initial EXPERIENCE with Joe. TMLCFFU - (translation: "The Moment Life Changed Forever For Us") was at 7:30 PM on 5/25/06, when Joe opened at the Casino Morongo for B.B. during Mr. King's 80th Birthday Tour. May 20, 2007 was just our first time at The Coach House, and, if memory serves me, you were there celebrating your anniversary that evening with your cute wife.
Jane - Thank you very much for the very special sweet words of welcome
Roy - I'm still workin' on a nickname for you (if you really want one and Bluesman isn't enough) - I kinda like Rascally Roy, but, how about Roy Who Rates (as in......Roy Who Rates and Gets To Hear Joe Live From Across The Pond Because He's Pals With The King, Mr. Michael Lynch)? As I said earlier, you lucky dog.
So, there ya go again, another oh-so-succinct-posting by yours truly. So sorry.
Libby
We stay logged in all day, so it appears as if we never leave. Just a tab open in our browser. We do check in several times a day, and usually have phone calls with others checking in several times per week.
Most of it to try to monitor activity, some for entertainment/news, and participation.

In the morning while drinking a cup. Home for lunch. and off and on through the evening. With all the activity latley it is hard to catch up if you stay away to long.

Oh, but Phil, the nice thing about the forum, and its inherent anonymity, is that J Dawg CAN remain forever young, and I can be a lil' filly. Isn't that right, J Dawg?
Libby
I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys "R" Us bluesrockin' kid!!!!! Well back to Never Never Land ya'll.
The Ol' J Dawg
Thanks for the boost Libby.

He ain't the only one......:(
George,
It is part of Joe's job (and he does it very well, I might add) to turn back all of his fan's odometers.

A fair point Libby, but there are limits even to what the power of Joe can achieve.
On the other hand, isn't it marvelous having a whole forum to play in while the US is still asleep?
Hang on. You're in California. You should be asleep too.

Oh gosh George.....I just saw what time it is.....off to bed I go!! As to Joe's superhuman powers, I can personally attest to the fact that the clock inside me started to move backwards the night we first heard him. That being said, a girl still needs her beauty sleep. Night all.

Night Libby, I'll mind the fort for a bit.
