Greetings fellow Bonamassic Kinfolk, I thought I registered a couple years back after the Grants Pass show, but apparently it was the middle of last year. So after you read this, you'll see why I try to stay away from this site/forum.... I've been to a million gigs and that one was perfect! From the awesome people in line from Portland, Bend and especally Medford..swapping stories and people asking "have you seen this guy before?", to the show itself..which went by too quick because it was SO good. The house lights come on after Joe squeezes every last drop out of "Asking Around for You" (first encore song was "Your Funeral My Trial" for you junkies out there), we were all doing a standing 8 count there stageside, with the deer in the headlights look at each other in that universal state of euphoria that makes everyone think and say the same thing instantly.....Everyone in the 1st row or 2 agreed to meet at the same place at any and all future Bonmassa events in Oregon...and after waiting patiently and having withdrawl symptoms in '09...it's gonna happen again...4 TIMES ! By the way, before I continue to vent...does anyone know the guy from Medford who's been diehard Joe friend from back before the Ford F-350 cargo van days? I hav'nt had time to surf profiles, but we had great chats w/ he and his wife next to us at Grants Pass....and like all Bonamassa fans..everyones cool, happy, friendly..and like family by the time a show is over. Some kind of unique connection and bond that not too many bands or musicians, if any can bring out of their fans. It's great to be a part of this family and to unselfishly pimp all things Bonamassa. By the way, for the record ..I'm listening to the new Gary Moore Essential Montreux, disk 4 as I write this and I hope Joe has it by now. Gotta give credit where due to Murfdog for coming though in countless Bonamassic ways and many others music wise. He's been a partner in crime of all things Rock or Blues for years. He'll probably be on here more than me, as this and the Ted Nugent or Gary Moore sites can draw you into a vortex of massive time loss and bloodshot eyes. So with that, I'll wrap it up for now and check in time to time.
