Re: First Timer

See you there Steve Boy, Birkenhead Pacific Road is sold out - and they have recently fitted more fire exits to get the maximum number of admissions increased. It's going to be a stonking good show here - Joe has played Pacific Road a couple of times before and his fan base has morphed out of control! I'm taking about 20 or so mates of mine including familiy and members of the dive club I belong to, plus a couple of my business customers.

Pacific Road (the council actually) have begun work building a new theatre at New Brighton, just three miles down the road from Pacific Road in readiness for Joe's next UK tour as it seems he may have outgrown the smaller venues, although Pacific Road still boasts a good size capacity - the new theatre will be able to hold many more! - Joe's team take note!!!!

And when that's over I get to pick up Michael Lynch on Lime Street, well the station actually!!! as he's staying over for a couple of days whilst we pick up the gigs at the M Club in Crewe and the Academy in Manchester, then Mike's off to another gig before we hook up again in Newcastle for Joe's gig at the Academy there - that last gig in Newcastle is going to be something special - you can bet your granny on that. I'm even taking customers to that one too!!

So Joe may play at the Royal Albert Hall eh!!??!! in May of 2009! - Let's hope that the management team can reserve some places for street team members for that one - there's no way I'm missing out on the best seats in the house for what will be the first MAJOR pinacle of Joe's carear. I think Joe and the team recognise the valuable work we've all put in over the last couple of years, so we should get a head's up on that

Good to see Joe regularly posting on the forum during the tour - the guy is so in tune with his fans, we really are a lucky bunch. Bet you guys in the States are envious of the growth of Joe as a phenomenon here in the UK - Sold out at every gig - WOW!

Re: First Timer

Wehey Steve, I've seen WA there myself and very good they are too. I'll be seeing them there in a few weeks!

Another one not to miss is the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Robin Trower, both of whom play Pacific Road in the not too distant future

Re: First Timer

Hi Stevie..Glad you found Joe before he left Europe. Please let us know about your Bonabaptism. I can't begrudge the enthusiasm Europeans have for Joe & Co. It's a wonderful thing! They need to feel the love. Since I can't be there, having Bonabuddys go and tell us all about the shows is 2nd best! Just look for the Joe shirts and say Hi! Have a great time!     Cathy

Re: First Timer

Stevie Boy,

Welcome to the forum!  I second everything Bluesman told you.  You MUST get "Blues Deluxe" next, you WON'T BELIEVE how incredible Joe is in person, and, yes, your life will be forever changed.

Geoff mentioned Robin Trower.....we just saw him 10 days ago.....Elvin Bishop opened for him.....both were FABULOUS.

Enjoy yourself, both here and THERE WITH JOE!!!

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-
