Re: Why is it?

First of all..John, you lucky man..I saw Danny Gatton, but not with Joe..Wow!...I had a laugh today when a 20 something drummer friend asked me this question! The cool thing is that he even thought about it! BluesRock has put the American/British Blues issue into their conversations.     Keep up the good work Joe!     Cathy

Re: Why is it?

I think it's also a case of sometimes we as Americans don't appreciate what we have, we always love somebody else.

Think about who is usually  considered the best rock band ever. Usually the Stones, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd. Very rarely do you hear anyone say, "You know, I think (Aerosmith/ZZ Top/The Doors/The Eagles/Lynyrd Skynyrd) is the greatest rock band ever." It's very interesting that we do that. We had to have Clapton and The Stones tell us the blues was cool, so it's not surprising that once again, we Americans are just not that appreciative of what greatness we have in our backyard.
