I see there was mention made in a show review that it was our favorite bass player's birthday.  The Legendary Carmine Rojas !!  I don't know whether Carmine reads the forum, but if he does.....

Yeah Patty. Earlier in the eveing Joe said something along the lines that he'd wondered why Carmine was so suave, then he realised it was because he was born on St valentines Day. I can't recall the song but later on in the set Joe called on Rick to 'take it home' at the end of the number and he played Happy Birthday To You. Most of the crowd sang along to Carmine and the band laughed. A wonderful moment.

How appropriate that someone so sweet should have a birthday on Valentine's Day!  smile  We were lucky enough to meet you briefly after the recent Coach House show.  You were so warm and sincere.  Thank you for autographing the photo I brought along of you and Rick!  He was nice enough to sign it the next night.  smile

I got a lot of great shots of YOU and your comrades at The Galaxy.  I was the one who spent half the night firing away from my post directly in front of the speaker (what?? ouch - what??!!) on Rick's end of the stage.  I'll bring them along to the next show!

See you back in sunny California - eventually!  Meanwhile, happy birthday again, continued success, and safe travels to you, Joe, Rick, Bogie and the crew (and Crosby, Paul, et al).
