Hey George,

Thanks for the new news!! I just went to Bonnie's facebook and read a few things. Very cool that Neil Young included Bonnie's song the Road's My Middle Name on his upcoming project.  And Bonnie has a facebook page in honor of her dad, I'll have to show my mom.

I only have 2 people left of my personal list for Joe to play with:  Bonnie Raitt and Jimmy Page...Now that you are in an authoratative position, I think you should give the goddess a shout out!!   wink

P.S.  George, I saw you tried to reach out to me on facebook. I signed up, then got cold feet, never set it up and just kept it open so I could view certain things.  My daughter says I'm giving the wrong impression to people that are trying to friend me and Elisa really wants me to get active to spread the word about SFAC...So, don't think I snubbed you.  big_smile

Re: Bonnie Raitt (again)

great news from the goddess, new music for 2012 on the way. I'm real interested in the music she refers to as "experimental", but it will be one to purchase without listening or reading any reviews, a real no brainer on adding this to the collection.

According to a Rolling Stone article there will be 2 Dylan covers as well as a tour behind the new release.

Re: Bonnie Raitt (again)

This track is from her new cd 'Slipstream" which will be released on April 10. The title of this song is "Ain't Gonna Let You Go" which includes an extended solo at the end. Here slide guitar playing has never been better.

I will be seeing her for the first time in Austin at the Moody Theater (same place where I saw Joe & Eric Johnson).
Can't wait!

Re: Bonnie Raitt (again)

Sept 29 Grand Prairie (DFW metro), TX.  Tickets go on sale mid April.

I think I'm gonna like living in Dallas

Re: Bonnie Raitt (again)

Got my tickets for the 6-12-2012 show in Charlottesville, VA in a presale today. Not as close as i wanted but the best i could git when the sale started. Tried again later and tickets closer to the front in the center were available. I think in the future i will not try for tickets as soon as the sale starts.
