Re: 2008 Grammy Nominations
A lot of the Grammy politics was talked about at this time last year...so a "search" would probably cover that instead of re-posting.
I heard on NPR there is a lot of ballot stuffing and corporate interests involved with Grammys. Hence is why Hootie won in '95 and Kanye "I should've won" West was nominated 8 times.
It would help the blues if the Grammys recognized Joe. I know he is doing great and has his own agenda. It would be great to see him with a Grammy one day, and get the worldwide attention, on TV, etc.
I have been spouting about Rolling Stone & the Grammys since Joe's first forum. Disdain aside, I just know his Mom & Pop would be so proud for him to have an award and the cover photo.......and you know Joe on either the podium or in a feature article.....would Rock the status quo...I LOVE that thought!
