Topic: cafe r & b

i heard one of their songs on xm bluesville awhile and was very intrigued but couldnt find their album for under 40 dollars anywhere so never really learned more.  well it is now available for download on amazon and i got it.  WOW.  i am normally not a fan of female vocalists.  it isnt a sexist thing or anything like that i just dont normally want to listen to them, but with blues i like them a little more.  anyway, this is the best female vocals i have ever heard, and it isnt even close.  i am not a music scholar, but i will say amongst all the singing i have ever heard this is some of the best and most powerful.  so so good.  good soft singing, and then when she gets passionate, so powerful and throaty.  i cannot recommend highly enough.  the entire band is phenomenal, great blues guitar, quality piano, band sounds so tight like they have been playing together for 20 years.  great blues, please look into them

Great singing and dancing in that one video There Was a Time. The drumming is fantastic as well.
Merry Clayton will always be my favorite female singer though. She was the lady that did backup vocals on Gimme Shelter.
