Topic: BluesDeluxe II Fantasy

I was playing Etta James and Bonnie Raitt back to back this weekend and thought how cool it would be to have a Lady Sings The Blues cover album.  Yep, Joe covering the ladies...everything from some old classics to some of the more modern ones, even maybe take in a Heart tune.  Blues 101 is an ongoing process, but there are a ton of ladies with big voices and cool tunes doing rockin'blues etc.  I can probably learn a few more from fans here.

This is one of my favorite Bonnie songs that she wrote.  Carmine can get down real funky on the bass and Joe can show off his slide mastery. smile

I have no idea where this video is from, but the song is the background music.  ...when you get through it baby, you're gonna' give up your heart...

Gret Idea, but then Joe covering just about anything is great. Excellent marketing concept though.Throw in a little Deb Coleman,Susan Tedeschi.

In the season of wisemen, 2 are in the house smile  I remember reading when Bonnie's Souls Alike came out (2005), she commented on a phone call from Stevie Nicks, who was going to cover "Circle Dance" one of her songs that had great sentimental value to Bonnie, since she had written it about her Dad...Stevie was the first person to cover Bonnie & she was thrilled.  Showing respect to ladies always comes back tenfold...
