well what can i say joe and the boys kicked ****. first i get out there a little to early thought we where going to hit that long island traffic so we left early to give us time if we did but to our supprise we flew out there in about 30 to 50 minutes . we walked around the town checking out for a nice place to eat and eveything was a little to nice for the way we where dressed so we got back to the car which we parked in front of this place called tony's it was a chinese/japanesse/ti resturant so we figured we go in there and eat . to my supprise the place was out of this world some of the best food i have ever ate . then joe and the band came in to eat as always joe and the guys where very very friendly and we talked for a little while about this and about that . i didn't want to hold them up from eatting for to long so i cut the convo and let them get to eatting ( if it was up to joe he would of talked to us all night great guy) now for the show joe came out a ripped it apart the sound was very good in the place and the band seemed to be enjoying themselfs the setlist was aliitle bit different last night he did one of these days and a great instrumental in the song ( i will have to listen to the record today and get up the complete setlist) the crowd was very into the show to my supprise being it was in the hamptons and it was sold out . i meet maria at the show very nice didnt get to talk to long since we where recording and they where moving us all over the place . i had 7th row dead center and i ended up give joe my tickets so he had some people he was with that needed seats and we ended up in a area where we could stand and set up the record stuff . the funny thing was we where in the car waiting to go in and this lady pulls up looking for a parking spot thinking we where leaving since we where sitting in the car .we told her we where staying and she left then came back about 5 minutes later asked us if we can back up some so she can fit in front of us and we did ( maria your parking skills aren't to go lol you hit that curb with that small car lol ) then she went into the show and next thing you know when we get in there guess who it was maria just funny how thing s work out that way . i also talked to joe about the street team show and i will post what he said in the street team section.........joe

nice how joebeacon makes fun of my parking skills (fyi cars were coming and i was not giving up that sweet spot) but he did call me a lady so i'll forgive him! smile

roy had built up my expectations over the last few days and i was a bit leary going in with them being so high............well, what can i say, i think the exact words when i saw joe and his friend steve? after the show were "holy c**p"!

i found myself quickly sitting on the edge of my seat to catch every note.  as expected, "asking around for you" brought tears and seeing JB's emotions while singing was overwhleming.  when he stepped away from the mic and sang he took my breath away.   this was truly the tightest band i have ever seen, as well as, one of the most talented.  every expectation of this show was met and then some.  my only disappointment is that i missed the other two ny shows and will now have to wait for another. sad

i had a top 5 list of favorite live shows of all time.
1) the who (2002)
2) billy joel (2006)
3) journey (2002)
4) the eagles (1996)
5) rod stewart (2007)

this is the new list
1) joe bonamassa (2007)
1) the who (2002)
2) billy joel (2006)
3) journey (2002)
4) the eagles (1996)

absolutely the greatest live show i have ever seen in my life.   nothing except another JB show could possibly change that list.  well except a led zeppelin reunion tour, but i'm sure JB would understand that. wink

JB is truly a gifted young man and i thank him for sharing that with us.  i have been bonabaptized halleluiah!!

Sounds like another awesome show.  JoeBeacon, how does this compare to some of the earlier shows that you have seen recently of Joe?   How did the recording turn out?

Music is good for the Soul...

recording came out great . this band is very good and they are really tight . i did like the band with kenny and eric also i thought they where very tight and really smoked but i can see that with the new band joe can do alot more music and different styles . so really it's all good as long as joe is playing ..joe
