Re: 3 Clans Ballroom (Oneida Casino) - Green Bay, WI 11/05/07

What can we Say, just what can I say.....Awesome Show.  From the very start with Crosby and then his dad Kenny (WOW).  Julie really wanted to get Crosby to sign her CD but if she could have gotten Crosby and Kenny's that would have made her so very happy!  Anyway she was not able to get any of theirs.

Then came Joe, what more can be said "A Bonariffic Show".  Joe was Tip-Top in form and the sound system was great as well.

Thanks Joe for the picture with my daughter Amy.  Now both my daughters have had their picture taken with Joe.   It's going to look great framed and on their wall.

We were able to meet so many new and old Bona-friends that just topped the evening.

Well, gotta get back to the meeting..."hello, my name is Mike and I'm addicted to Joe....

Just when I discovered the meaning of life, it changed.

Crosby's dad Kenny, for some reason, was in Green Bay last night, so the son-dad duo got up and played two songs together.  I wasn't recording Crosby's set, but when Kenny got on stage I quickly hit RECORD and captured it.

That is the BEST I have ever heard that venue sound.  Shows what a good line array and front-of-house sound engineer can do.  I was able to plant my mic stand within the safe confines of the sound/light desk barrier and got a good capture of the night.

Joe, It's amazing you didn't tell that one lady ahead of us in the 2nd row, dead center, to STFU.  She was obnoxious.  I should have told her early on that Miss You Hate You would be the final encore...ah, but she didn't know the correct song title anyway.  The 2 guys she was with ditched her towards the end of the show...with good reason.

Great show and I thought slightly better than Milwaukee.  Very appreciative crowd with a lot of seats sold.

Wausau tonight!

Was this the same "lady" that heckled at the Milwaukee show? She might have been at HOB Chicago too. And she was obnoxious. Wanted to bean her.

I'm just saying.

I think a different, drunk, obnoxious woman shows up at each of Joe's shows now.  Just something will have to get use to with his growing fame.  A lot of weirdos coming out of the woodwork.  Wouldn't suprise me if Joe reduced his meet & greets.

Re: 3 Clans Ballroom (Oneida Casino) - Green Bay, WI 11/05/07

It was a great show, as usual.  I got a buddy of mine to go along.  It was his first Bonamassa show.  He thought Joe was great.  In fact, a bunch of my students went and had a good time, as well.

I'm glad it took place in the ballroom...it was a much more enjoyable venue.

I'll be at the next GB show.

Thanks,
Marc

This was a great show! Can somebody help me with a song. It was towards the end and had the lyrics "angel" in the hook. Thank you in advance.

My guess is it was "Asking Around for You"

Re: 3 Clans Ballroom (Oneida Casino) - Green Bay, WI 11/05/07

I thought the venue was much better than the lounge, i had never been there I was quite curious. Great show, 3rd row with an obnoxious lady in row two center went for drinks 3 times, thought for sure   she'd spill them on the front row!! I was very impressed with Crosby, then his dad!! I saw he and Messina at Red Rocks in the seventies, it was a treat to say the least. I did get Crosbys' CD and an autograph and complimented of course on his talents. There was a great article in the  Green Bay paper about Joes' visit to Lombardi Middle School, what a great guy to take time out to spread the word to children about the history of the Blues and how his career took off at a young age, way to go Joe!!! Our pic turned out good this time too! Take care all and see you in Green Bay again someday! Joan

Cool! I am glad it is still there, the Press sometimes removes older stories, I just think it is great for kids too to meet Joe and get excited about music and it's roots. At one point in time, Green Bay schools were going to cut funding for Music, Art and some sports........important education besides Reading Writing and Math  Budget cuts!!   find them somewhere else,  thanks Joe again for your time and talents! I'm glad to hear it sounded good and that Kenny was there--what a nice surprise!  A couple of my students were at this show and all I could think is, "I hope it sounds good, I hope it sounds good".  This was the first time any of them have seen Joe.

That's too bad about the obnoxious lady--especially with an all ages show.  I bet the kids there were better behaved than her.

Fret - I was in the second row with this obnoxious lady -after the show ended she almost knocked me to the ground trying to get out of the row.  Don't know what her problem was
but it's good she wasn't in Wausau!  I'm so glad you stuck around after the show to meet
us - can't believe you recognized me from that picture!  Hope you guys had a wonderful
anniversary and hope to see you again at future shows.

I'm really glad I got to meet everyone.  We were just going to take off at the end of the show but I wanted to at least try to find some of you from the forum.  It was pretty awkward going up to Roy when I didn't know it was him, but I'm glad I did.  I don't remember what picture I recognized you from, but I believe it was in with Roy's pics from another show--Walter Trout maybe?

What a better way to celebrate our 10 year anniversary then a Joe show? Our anniversary was actually in October, but with two kids it's just hard to get away sometimes.
