Re: Ladies in rock

yeah I know, it's hard to stay away from so many nice people here.I flipped over to Palladia last night, just surfing and ran into the most incredible concert I have ever seen. This was Tina Turner 'Live in Holland' 2009, also called the Netherlands you know. I can't believe that nobody ever told me about it. If you haven't seen it then you are in for a real treat my friends. It comes off more like a Broadway musical, the only thing I can compare it to was Cher's show in Las Vegas from many years back. I don't have any idea what the tickets went for, but the dancers alone were worth 50 Euro. She includes some great covers including Lowell George's Can't Stand the Rain, R Palmer's Addicted to Love, and a wonderful tribute to the Stones that I will not give away......Lisa Fischer helps out with the vocals and sings backup as well. The Proud Mary finale is fantastic, it left me wanting more to say the least. Some of it is posted on Utube, Palladia will run it again at some point. I missed the first 15 minutes or so....just gotta see it again to believe it. She is without a doubt in my mind the sexiest woman ever in the history of rock n roll.
