Topic: New album - "Breakthrough" - out July 18

Joe has announced the release date for his new album, Breakthrough, on July 18 and shared the title track.  I haven't checked out the song so no comment yet!

The title track was okay. It didn't particularly grab me, but I did listen all the way through. Felt similarly about the last single released. I don't know, I love Joe but I think it's time to mix things up. We'll see what the rest of the album has in store.

Incidentally, I was just listening to Oz Noy's album "Who Gives a Funk" and there's a great blues duet with Joe on it (Five Spot Blues). Just two great players ripping, not trying to be anything too fancy.

I was quite surprised as I didn't really dig the first two singles.  I really like this track!  I am a fan of Joe's more 'riffy' kind of blues though, it's what got me into him to start with!!  This has some nice ripping guitar.
It's just my taste, of course, but I didn't really like Time Clocks all that much.  I already like this song better than anything off that album!

Have you heard the guitar duel with Joe and Eric Gales on "I Want My Crown"?
Sorry if you've seen the thread but there is a whole thread here for all of Joe's guest appearances.  There's over 150 songs on there now, just including studio stuff!!  That Oz Noy track is great!!
