Topic: Forum Request...

...to the powers that be;

How about a thread for each album?

As a noobe, it would be great to have comments from old timers as to what they think of a given disc. I'm getting them all anyway, but, I think for those kinda wondering, maybe sitting on the fence, it may be the straw that opened the wallet, so to speak.

As a guitarist, it would be AWESOME to ask Joe questions about a given track or lick.

As a now devout Joe'aholic it would great to simply have another outlet besides going down the road having man and beast thinking I'd lost my mind. Who knows? Might come in handy one day.

Judge: "Son, the officer reports that you appeared to be having some sort of religious experience or perhaps a siezure. In the interest of public safety, you simply can't drive with all that going on. How do you plead?"

LG: "Faux Mantini"

Judge;" Ah, ha! So, you were drinking Martinis, eh? A bit eccentric don't you think? In any event, you can't do that in this state..."

LG; "No sir, Mantini. Joe Bonamassa, yer honor. If you look on the forums...

Judge: "Well, hell! Why didn't you say so? Is that the **## or what? Case dismissed! There's a show tonight. I'm buyin' if your flyin!"

Loved your post, Larry-

I think I mentioned on the forum once how something similar to what you wrote actually happened to me a couple of years back:

I was in my car driving, listening to  Blues Deluxe  for the first time. Exactly 3:59mins. into the song, Joe hits a high note and spends the next 1:14 in guitar solo Nirvana, causing me to actually drive myself off the road ( I kept looking at the CD player, trying to register what I was hearing!)- thank god I didn't hit anybody. I had to rewind it and play it again, I couldn't believe that solo, I freaked!- Joe's music needs to come with a warning label! wink

Threads for the different albums is a good idea, I'd like to see it !

Re: Forum Request...

Hi Larry,
Interesting thought...There are some fans that have been around a while that could shed some light on things.  Joe's on the road alot and it's great when he makes a post, but I'm not sure he'd be able to always have time to answer a bunch a questions. Some of your questions you might find answers to in the gear section of the forum. Also, some answers may be found on Joe's DVD, Signature Sounds...Tonequest article.... I have a couple questions myself maybe someone can answer:

At one or 2 shows Joe mentioned jokingly something about his second album, So It's Like That, something implied, I'm not sure what he meant?? If you remember an old thread, old forum,  many of the fans thought it was the best work of his, before You and Me.  Anyone have feedback on that comment?

There are some great songs on So It's Like That, that have never been performed live that I know of.  Anyone else interested in hearing anything from that, Lie#1, My Mistake, etc. Just think of it as a treat, you go to a show and Joe plays one of your favs from a back catalog that's never been played before...I think that would be fun and such a nice surprise!

Welcome aboard Larry and good luck in your quest!
