Vote for Joe

It depends who else was nominated in each category. It was a while back but if I remember correctly, I nominated him for rock and not blues this year.  There are a lots of other great players that focus more exclusively on blues and deserve a nod.  Obviously we all know his style continues to diversify and could be considered either or both.

While he plays and writes great, straight, modern blues - I personally think of his albums more as rock albums.  I consider Zeppelin a rock band even though they did pure blues really, really well. Joe's the same.  Doesn't really matter to me, nice to see him get the nod (and yes, i voted for him).
