Topic: Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea VII March edit= now 2022

I really don't think I will be feeling like going even by March but boy oh boy...if you book before August 31 you get a free beverage package (just pay gratuities)!!!
I didn't think they could do much else other than line up additions that would tempt me so much !!!!

I did also notice they say if it gets cancelled etc due to COVID-19 you can get refund or exchange blahblah

anyway just wanted to post about the free beverage package.....clever marketing esp among many blues cruisers!!!

i think this would be viewable even if not in the facebook group but not sure

its about a year to the cruise and they are doing a thing this week on the facebook group
it looks like Joe will be checking in live there each day this week at noon?
some sort of secret today at 2
and various rebroadcasts of interviews and sets (from previous cruises I think)

Re: Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea VII March edit= now 2022

well i was guessing wrong...Joe isn't checking in live on FB this week.
they called it "where is Joe?" but I assumed it meant he would be checking in. no they posted a Where's Waldo style  pic to find Joe in. hmm

Re: Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea VII March edit= now 2022

Welp, they gave us option to cancel back in November...at that time we (my cabin mate Lizzee and I ) decided well lets hope things are better enough by then for us to feel comfortable  going and if things got bad again they would probably postpone or cancel, so we kept our reservation.

Fast Forward to January when most cruises on the Norwegian Line were postponed or cancelled until March, this one is not.
They gave option to take credit to be used on the Mediterranean one or for next year's Caribbean one which is confirmed to be going on. (They usually announce the dates and headliner for next year during the cruise).
I just am not personally comfortable enough to be able to relax so we took the credit.
I would have preferred refund but am quite glad for the option.

It is so hard to not go but it was the best decision for us at this time.

I keep up with the facebook group about it and it is fun but so hard to hear the excitement...plus so curious how less full the ship will be. That could make for more fun. Not that it ever felt crowded but certain shows do fill up and the elevators get busy/full at certain times.

I had a hard time missing the first three but I had never been on a cruise...now that I have and know how much fun this KTBA cruise is, its a bit harder to not go.

I'm sure all will go well and I hope to hear as many details and stories as possible!!!!

And I am super looking forward to 2023!

Bon Voyage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BonaVoyage!!!!! big_smile

Re: Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea VII March edit= now 2022

its going well according to some reports on the facebook page from folks who got the internet package

one said her husband said "best night ever"

its hard not being there knowing how much fun it is

i kind of wish they would do one on land in some exclusive place where you still didnt have any driving etc but there is something about being on the ship that helps the feeling like you actually got away from it all somewhere with more entertainment and food and drinks than one can handle. literally. with super happy folks all around

Thanks for the vids. and thanks for the call yesterday to hear how good a time you had! it was so hard to not be there.
I've been following the facebook group ....no major issues it seems. I read one person who traveled from Poland tested positive at the boat and couldn't go.

Pain and Sorrow on the cruise  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8y0BYuhn0dI - Joe had nothing to show or prove to his audience, his aspirations were elsewhere

Re: Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea VII March edit= now 2022

Question for anyone who made the cruise:

Was Kevin Shirley present?
