Reading that this morning during the first morning Cup of Joe stung a little ... as Jane H. mentioned ... a Forum Member (JJ) broke the News here first before any Official announcement ... just as the Best Buy Bonus info was Posed up by a Member here first.

As it says above ... "The official forum for all things Joe Bonamassa, guitars and blues music."

Thank you to the Member Posts who keep it going! ... I enjoy it here ... daily!

Then the S & H came up (along with my middle finger, lol) and I cancelled the order. I don't recall the exact amount of S & H, but it was between $15 and $20, which made a $40 order a $60 order. I decided I'd wait and get the download. Now I guess I'll wait and head over to Target after it's in the stores

The S and H costs have kept me from ordering a lot of merch. Not priority shipping I assume. But perhaps they are doing alright as the merch list never stops growing.I just wish it was more affordable when factoringbthe s and h

Target shipping for the CD is $6.00.  And I just ordered two of the Joe Bonamassa gold swirl logo hats (so excited to find them!) from the Joe store and that shopping was $5.60.  Yes, $20 shipping seems excessive!

S&H is expensive, but not out of the ordinary.
It costs over $50 to send a small package to Europe via snailmail. The wife gets $30 worth of goodies to send to the grandkids in Germany often. “Here, go send this off.”
Yes, dear.

Just to be fair, I went back and checked. S & H for a t-shirt and cd is $14.83 (I said it was between $15 and $20).
I guess I must have rounded up from $14.83.

yeah... actually the only time i ever sent international was to and from Joe fans...used to be able to send small package with a few cds pretty much anywhere for $5.25....and things we ship here at work, keep going up and up...IMHO there are multiple factors as to why shipping services have gone up in price mumble

anyway as far as Joe's store, I know in recent years they did do some streamlining of shipping prices, at our request. It used to be that it had a price for everything and if you ordered more than one of said item, shipping doubled, IIRC.
I don't have the specifics but last time i just ordered a few cds it did seem more reasonable.

If you hope they may look into it, I suggest sending a comment/request, with specifics, if something seems really out of the ordinary. i think they also have changed fuflillment companies in the past year or so?

They have changed fulfillment companies for sure, maybe a little more than a year ago if I remember correctly. I remember when it happened I get ripped for 9.99 shipping on a single pin! I think I emailed and they were kind of enough to correct it, issued a refund and explained that something happened where it didn't offer all the shipping options....

My usual shipping charge monthly for the pins i get is like 5.35 or something, that's on a 9.95 item that weighs nothing hardly. Ship them myself all day long for less than 3.00. So when you factor in the cost of the envelope and printing label I guess that would be about right (to a business anyway). Thankfully on this past months order it was still the 5.35 even though I had two pins... But I have ordered before (2 pins) and it was 9.95 shipping...... Like most of you the Shipping has stopped me from ordering other items.... I usually get my local record to order the vinyls for me, get it for the same price the store charges but no shipping charges...

Re: Target selling "Redemption" album with 3 extra songs

I've held off on pre-ordering as between tax & shipping it was over $20 from Target.  As luck would have it, I got a Target gift card today - score!   I'm really looking forward to the new album and bonus tracks.

Actual numbers may not show up until Thur night or Friday but Brickseek is showing the Target exclusive should be available in stores.  It might show the number of copies at stores before Target's website does.

I am confused as to why this info is only shared here, where hardly anyone visits (I am guilty). How are his fans that are not on this forum  suppose to know this information?

Re: Target selling "Redemption" album with 3 extra songs

I ordered my copy from Target.
At first they wanted $25 to ship to Canada,  I said NO.

Then I decided to send it to my brother in Buffalo.
Not only did I get free shipping, I got  the CD for  $12usd.

Bad news is... didn't know my brother would be In Europe when delivering time is scheduled.

I hope it's in his mail box when he gets home Tuesday

Re: Target selling "Redemption" album with 3 extra songs

I went to two of my local Target stores today and each said they only received 3 CDs and they were sold out.

I asked the girl at the last store if she could check the metro area (14 stores) and see if anyone had the CD in stock. She did and told me all metro stores received only 3 copies and there were none in stock at any of them. This was at 11:00 am.

Not sure why they only shipped 3 CDs per store, but it is what it is.

I almost effed up, waited to go to my local Target until mid-afternoon, and was lucky to snag the last two copies they had on their display. Not sure if they have more to put out, but I got mine, baby! cool

P.S. Did I mention they were also on sale for just $12.99? wink
