Re: Fall Tour

Not to offend but...

Have seen him a number of times before and he is in Hamilton, Ontario in November - small venue (few thousand) but the tickets are way too expensive IMO - great seats are over $175 - good seats are over $150 and the worst seats (back of the upper balcony) are over $120 - have paid a lot to see him in the first few rows but that kind of money seems rather high

Re: Fall Tour

It was an ordeal but we made it through. Some seats better than others. In a way some of the snafus actually helped in the long run because for the one they delayed the on sale time it gave us a chance to try for other places that were on sale at the same time and if the codes weren't working for us, they weren't working for everyone which kind of leveled the playing field. All in all it will be a busy Fall. Three shows at the Beacon in Sept. Glad they had PBS available to buy for the first night. Reduced the stress level a bit not to have to worry about that one.  Then in October around the time of my birthday we'll head out to San Francisco and do a little tour. Haven't been to San Francisco for a number of years so really looking forward to going back as well as hopefully seeing some shows with Rocket again as well as some other friends.

So it seems like there is no reason to try to get tickets as soon as they go on sale.

What a screwed up system...should not be this difficult.

Re: Fall Tour

One very good way to chill scalpers. Rancho Mirage only sold tix for will call pickup day of concert to the original purchaser with cc used shown at time of purchase.

Now that's an idea I fear somehow the scalpers will find a way in. They must have someone in the ticket industry that gives them a in. Who knows it is sooooooo freaking frustrating

Red Rocks did that for tickets in the first 10 rows or so for Joe's show doing Muddy Wolf. Tedeschi Trucks did it as well for their non general admission shows.

Re: Fall Tour

I believe that Ticketmaster holds into tickets for their own scalpers.
Plus Ticketmaster treats every device different ie pc vs phone vs tablet.

I had no choice but to use my tablet yesterday. I ended up in row 9 way stage right as that was the only choice it picked for  me.
At least I think it's row 9, never been to the Hamilton Ontario theatre before.

choice on the map was taken away be Ticketmaster site.
And on both my phone and tablet the Ticketmaster app won't install.

Later in the day I checked with my phone and I could see better seats, but I'd already committed to the first purchase.
All this because the boss said I couldn't do it from work.

Not as good as I wanted, but I'll enjoy the night.

Doug I had the same experience with Ticketmaster where I had already bought tickets on a pre sale on my desktop. I went back in later on my phone and there were MUCH better seats at the same price. I ended up buying both and took the risk of re-selling the first set from the desktop. This was for Roger Waters in Albany (ironically the same Saturday as Joe's 3rd Beacon show). When I put the first set of seats up on Stubhub I wasn't  trying to make money, just break even. Someone bought them within a couple of weeks so it worked out.

I need to remember to use my IPhone on these presales when going thru Ticketmaster.

Re: Fall Tour

Doug, I once had bought tix for a Joe show in Fresno (125 miles away), two weeks later they opened another show in Stockton (5 miles away) so I bought 5 more tix for Stockton..after I had bought them, I called ticketmaster customer service and explained what happened and that I preferred to keep the Stockton tix and would appreciate if they would refund my money from the Fresno tix...they were very nice and took the Fresno tix back and removed the charges from my credit card...I think it was because both shows were ticketmaster shows but it sounds like you may be able to call customer service and try to swap your tix for better ones that are still on the market....worth a try anyway...oh, and be sure to have the codes ready as you are still in the presale time period...

"Plus Ticketmaster treats every device different ie pc vs phone vs tablet."  - DougH! It has nothing to do with device. It's the time and people holding and then releasing tickets without buying. I find that better seats are popping up at odd hours.

Re: Fall Tour

Sure it does make a difference
My desktop allows full seat selection, my phone went to the mobile site didn't have a choice to use full site on concerts, till I surfed for baseball tickets and it gave me the full seat choice button.
After I clicked the full seat selection on baseball, the site then it gave me semi seat choice for Joe's concert. (It gave me a listing of seats with a diagram of were the seats were; still not select the seat direct)

My tablet was allowing full seat access to a Bon Jovi show, but for the Joe show it would only pick for me

So yes Ticketmaster treats all devices different

All good, wife will book a nice hotel close by, I'll spend time in the hot tub with some wine .. Uber over to the show, enjoy Joes talent, Uber it back to the hotel.

Life will be good

(I had thought of buying more and reselling what I didn't want, didn't get a chance during work and good seats gone by the time I could)
