Spider, it was great seeing you again, if even for a moment. And Doug it was really nice having dinner with you and your wife before the show. Always enjoy meeting forum people 
This show was on Phil's birthday and our last one for the Spring. What a wonderful day he and I both had. Couldn't have asked for anything better. I surprised him with a M&G. So nice to see Joe and talk for a few moments. He said he thought the videos I did from the Madison show turned out really good. He had really enjoyed that show. I told him I had layered in Phil's sound. He was like, I don't know anything about all that kind of stuff. It's all over my head, lol. Got a really nice photo with Joe. I felt he kind of pulled us in close, even Clay commented after he took it, "That's a nice one" The show itself was absolutely rockin'. Always love being at the one his parents are at because Joe always ups his game a notch for them. A little change with the band this time. Anton's son is having his Bar Mitzvah, so Anton wasn't there and he won't be at the last remaining shows. Greg Morrow played drums instead. He is the other drummer Joe has on the new album so he was already familiar with many of the songs. Greg did an awesome job and because he was new, there were some slight changes within the songs. Joe did some really cool bits on some of his solos that were totally different than what we have heard before. Love hearing the differences between shows. Our seats turned out to be in a killer spot on the left side. We were actually front row because the pit was indeed a pit and no one was seated in it. And we were pretty much level with the stage, so great viewing and filming spot. Joe was kind of separated from everyone because of this deep empty pit, but he came right to the edge of the stage and played many of his solos there. The crowd just loved the show since it was the hometown one. Really enthusiastic but not obnoxious. At the end Joe came way over to the side area of the stage and threw some picks right at us. Phil and I both ended up with one. So nice of Joe to do that and a wonderful little memento for Phil's birthday show. Thank you so much for everything Joe!!! I've been looking at the videos I took and I think these may be some of the best I've ever gotten. Fantastic angle to shoot from and since we have seen a number of shows, I pretty much have Joe's moves memorized so I know what's coming up and what to focus on. I am very much a perfectionist and a bit OCD to put it mildly, so I'm always trying to improve. These I am quite proud of. Working on editing & rendering at the moment. Will upload as soon as they are done.
