Topic: shippng prices on items from the JB store

Hi,

I was wondering if there are any fans here from Europe or the Far East who have tried to purchase items from the store lately.

Recently i tried to purchase some CDs and T shirts but was shocked at the shipping calculator.  A single T shirt of $19 costs over $47 to ship to Singapore.

While i am sure there was no ill intent in such exorbitant pricing quotes, i think the shipping calculator needs to be moderated and revised.

Sadly, shipping costs overseas from the US are ridiculous. Having grandkids in Germany means the wife is constantly giving me boxes of presents to ship via the post. Regular parcel post for a small 5 pound box to there is usually around $50. Then you have the customs paperwork to fill out and that is overhead for J&R that has to be covered. That box usually contains about $25 worth of goodies, and no, I can't broach that issue. hmm
