Of course Joe has heard of Ed, we all know that, Joe is well aware of other musicians.
Just seems a shame he had to diss a fellow guitarist who is equally talented in a different way and is in no way in competition with Joe.
Personally I prefer Joe, given the choice but I can see the talent in Ed.

So, what do Joe Bonamassa & Ed Sheeran have in common?

Eric Clapton being their main inspiration to play guitar!! 

Cool enough reason for Joe & Ed's paths to cross sometime in the future...

Clapton and Sheeran collaborated on each others recent albums under the pseudonym "Angelo Mysterioso".  This name was formerly used by George Harrison when he collaborated with Clapton before George died in 2001.
