Hi Jack,
Thanks for the comparison, I was lucky enough to have won an Elitist Casino last years and was very impressed by the feel of the guitar. How do the two compare neck and (fit and) finish wise. I told my friend that I would have got one of these in 1965, I probably never would bought another guitar.

I love them both - the Elitist has a slightly darker and woodier tone, with a bit more sag. Also the wood, hardware and electronics are higher quality. Else they're very comparable, the standard stacks up surprisingly well. I love having the Elitist for its... well... elitism... but the standard is also a very cherished guitar in my collection. I've actually named them both after my girls!
