Cuig - [koo-ig] (that’s yer Gaelic for 5)…
I know, they look like yet another Irish boy band in the mold of Boyslife or Westzone, but don’t be fooled, these are probably the hottest Irish folk band for many a long year: Miceal Mullen (banjo, mandolin), Rónán Stewart (fiddle, uilleann pipes, vocals), Ruairí Stewart (guitars), Eoin Murphy (button accordion) and Cathal Murphy (drums, guitars, vocals),
And, for the time being, one of the few ways you’ll get to see much of Cathal Murphy (that’s he on drums & vocals) till folk get some of his solo material out there on the YouTube.
This is a gorgeous little song, even with the into, slightly reminiscent of Divine Comedy’s Father Ted theme.. go on, go on go on…..
Change - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxBSSW0hJO4
And one of their more traditionally based instrumental airs… I defy you not to tap along….

this was found quite by accident, I don't know what kind of doubleneck he's playing but it is bitchin'

I had not seen this one before, Kingfish in da house with the monster Eric Gales. I wish they could have had that audience shut their pie holes, or it was recorded with too much volume
Exsqueeze me, baking powder ? It's Fish and the Kingfish in da house, I just love her voice

Yesterday driving up to northern Indiana to resign my position with my company I put my iPhone on charge and that activates the blue tooth and my music. By random a song pops on and yesterday it was Warren Haynes' Live At the Moody Theater playing "A Change Is Gonna Come". I thought that was pretty cool and a great song to boot.
