Topic: Wily Bo Walker

Following on from Trevor Sewell’s latest album launch; got to give a mention to the main support of the night, Wily Bo. Not really sure what to pin on Wily, the live, solo, in a lot of places reminded me a lot of Tom Waits in the dry and personal delivery; certainly makes his latest release Moon Over Indigo a one for the Christmas stocking list, and maybe a couple of earlier albums too. When he piles it on with his band, you start and think Lord Sutch meets Alex Harvey, marinated in N’Orlean’s gumbo with a pinch of graveyard dust.

A master story-teller, Wily’s aiming to put out 3 albums a year over 3 years. Whatever, anyone who’ll cover Tommy Bolin’s Wild Dogs is top in my books.

When life gives you lemons; don't make lemonade.
Give back the lemons.  Why were the lemons free?  What's wrong with the lemons?
Do Not trust the lemons...
