Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

How's this for a laugh. I think Joe could surpass the classic Hocus Pocus by focus. But if you want to see the original check this out.

Joe to replace thoe "vocal" and the "pipes" of course. Way to go Jo

Gary Hoey has done a rocking version of "Hocus Pocus".  Great version you might want to check out.  Focus did an incredible, phenomenal job with that song.   With that one,you might want to add your own flavor to it like Gary Hoey did.

"Holy Toledo"  -  Bill King   "Just Win Baby" - Al Davis  "The Autumn Wind" - Steve Sabol

Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

I know this has probably been mentioned before in this thread and the song has been covered alot but I'd love to see Joe do a version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and "Machine Gun" too!

I've mentioned Machine gun before but was told there is no way that anyone could do that song justice. As far as I'm concerned, Joe would be the only one who could pull it off. A local musician here, Phil Petroff, does a great live version of Who Knows by Hendrix. That's another one I would like Joe to do.

Whole Lotta Love, complete with the assorted guitar-created sound effects through the middle of the song. Can't you hear Joe at the end of the song singing "Waaaaaay down inside....." similar to how he sings "Sure got it bad..." at the end of Blues Deluxe???

Can I get an "Amen" from the gallery here?

Ya' got an "Amen" from me.  Another great performance of this song was done by Prince @ The Aladdin in Las Vegas......psychedelic shack...that's where it's at......check it out wink Patty

Or what about a Pat Travers Song?Snortin'Whiskey?

Would like to see Pat Travers & Joe Bonamassa Tour Together in
2007!

Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

I'd like to hear Joe play "Cortez the Killer".  Not only for the guitar work, but I think he'd be amazing on vocals.

Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

I dare to mention a classic like Okie Dokie Stomp?!

Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

My vote is for "Layla". Simply because it's my favorite song ever. smile

Nancy in Chicago

I'm just saying.

Dazed and Confused. Oh wait, he did that...never mind.
This has been a great topic, thanks Glen. I'm waiting for the day I can say: This post goes up to 11 (pages), see, 11! (10 pages and counting).

Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

For some reason I think Joe doing "Eminence Front" by The Who would work very well...

Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

I was just listening to one....The Good Luck You're Having! (A cover of a Bloodline song). If that don't count, I'll think of more to get the pages up to 11, that's one more than 10...

Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

I am still voting on Tombstone Shadow and/or Keep On Chooglin'......there are lots of songs I hear and wonder what would it sound like if Joe did it...Joe style......hmmm.....

I've always thought there were a few great blues tunes by CCR that he could do ! CCR played some great blues !    Feelin Blue, Midnight Special, Cross Tie Walker !
