Well another great show by Joe and his fabulous band. Linked up with many friends a great time
Cheers Ron
My brother and I will be staying in Bangor that night, an after Joe drink sounds great!
Side note...just picked up my JB Les Paul this afternoon from getting new strings and a set up. As it turns out, the tech that did it is also the current tech for Ian Thornley of Big Wreck! Now if I can only get Joe to play one bar of Django on it...
Great to see you at the show. Nice guitar. Until the next show
Cheers Ron
Here is the quick of it- Joe was on FIRE!!! Will get a better review out there when I can get a little sleep!!
Made it back from Bangor unscathed.
Of course I loved seeing Joe at the Beacon and on the cruise, but this was pretty special! The line up...Mahalia Barnes? Seriously! What a voice! Got to see Anton live for the first time. Kirk Fletcher again. It was an awesome line up. The set list, how great was that? The guitars...two different flying V's! The second, during the encore, a left handed V strung and played right handed by Joe!
My seat was great, I took my brother, new to Joe but not the blues, weather was hard to beat, venue was easy to get to...
Ron, Chris, Jay, Sandy, and, your names escape me, sorry but there you two are behind Joe's truck ^^ in the post above! We had a great chat at Dunkin Donuts pre show, then at the casino after. and anyone else I met there. The M&G! Joe, what a man.
And my true "signature" edition JB Les Paul.
Till the next time everyone, Steve.

great to see you again. Catch you further down the road
You as well Ron, thanks.
OK a little more rested!! It was great meeting new and old Bonaholics!! We had a fun time at the M&G-Joe seemed very relaxed and in good spirits!! We brought a picture and the LP cover for SILT for Joe to sign. I asked Joe for the official thumbs up or down for this album so I could post it on the forum. He told me that if you have the CD" it makes a great coaster" and "they can't all be winners"!! OK I guess thumbs down!!
Just a few highlights of the show
1. We ended up with front row seats with our M&G!! Although we probably would have been better sitting back a few rows as the stage was soooo high!! Believe me not complaining we could only see half the band and the sound was OK but we could see a lot of JOE!!
2. AS stated before Joe was on FIRE!! I really wasn't sure how much I would like the show as I'm not too familiar with the 3 kings music, but I have now seen Joe five times and this show would rate #2 on the list!! It wasn't just the guitar but also Joe's voice was stellar and he just seemed to be having such a good time playing this music!! (AttitudeX10)
3. Songs of the night for me-Going Down, Never Make Your Move Too Soon,https://youtu.be/DPlHT3nVN4Q, and The Thrill Is Gone.
4. Before Joe introduced the Band- apologizing for never playing in Bangor-and then coming out with this. "If I knew all the cool cats were here in Bangor I would have said **** Royal Albert Hall and came here instead"!! Maybe not exact but pretty close and very funny!!
So as you can tell a great night with a lively crowd and now anticipating the next show!!
A little late to the party (seems like nothing but work since last week) but just chiming in here. I enjoyed this show way more than the previous nights one - the stage was about three times the size of the one on Cape Cod. Unfortunately it was also quite tall - so second row was great for seeing some of the stage but not all. Sound was great - I like seeing Joe under the stars. My favorite part of the night were the Flying V's - Joe turns into a different animal when he plays one of those (and I always blamed the theremin). https://www.flickr.com/photos/24057301@ … 7078043519
Nice to see some old friends - and some new ones as well. Ron and Jay a pleasure as always (as well as your friends) and Steve - we finally got to meet. So glad you got your guitar signed. Fett - missed you again. Counting the days until November.
Sandy

It is still a consideration...Beth Hart? Definitely a consideration! But I have 3 trips planned for next year already. Back to your wonderful state for skiing, Toronto to see David Gilmour and a 2 week cruise. On top of all that I'm building a new house.
So, ya, I'm going to try and make it again! That first one was amazing.
