Jane got the main question - and she definitely would have got the bonus question - so I think she should ask the next question.

Re: Bona-Trivia

thanks to both
I had fun trying to get that answer and learned quite a bit in the process.
I have a few questions ideas now and was going to save this one for later but decided its best now while we are on the topic.

Joe, if you see this (or any future questions), feel free to play along. If you get it correct you get to ask the next question.
If no one gets it after a couple days or so I'll give the answer and ask something easier.

Joe's Dad had two other bands before JC Lenny, what were they called?

I'll be off grid parts of this weekend but will try to check back in a day or so and will move forward if no one gets it

Re: Bona-Trivia

I think I've got one of them, but I'll sit on my hands first to see if someone comes up with both.

My google-fu is usually strong, and having one of the band names* should have made it easier, so the information might not be online.

*maybe. I'm not sure I'm correct, but it begins with 'H'.

I fail on reading comprehension. smile

I missed that Jane asked for names of bands that Joe's father was in, not Joe himself.

Re: Bona-Trivia

oh sorry about that Tim but I bet you learned lots of  great tidbits smile
and sorry it took me so long
OK those two bands were Timbre Wolf and Raisin Cain

next question, I am going to put a time frame of not before 2000 because i am unsure about Bloodline. What was the first of Joe's own releases to be offered for sale on vinyl (not before 2000)?

Re: Bona-Trivia

His own releases? A New Day Yesterday.

Or was that pressed after a later album, out of order?

EDIT: I checked myself. It was A New Day Yesterday Live that I saw on the JB store in vinyl.

So I'm going with Blues Deluxe. smile

Re: Bona-Trivia

As I recall, LFNIP was the first of Joe's albums to be released on vinyl.

Re: Bona-Trivia

That's the answer i was looking for Lee and to the best of my knowledge is correct. Excellent try though Tim. They went back in the catalog to release others after that. LFNIP and BCC are the only ones I have in my collection thus far. Had planned to display the BCC one in my altar area but Glen Hughes $%^&&*)((*& the autograph blahblahblah so blahblahblah its in a drawer somewhere
Next question please smile

Re: Bona-Trivia

Staying on the subject of the "Live From Nowhere In Particular" vinyl release:

The JB Store sold some copies - not sure how many in the end - that were hand-signed by Joe. In addition to his signature Joe did something else with those particular copies as sort of an additional personal touch. What was it that Joe did besides signing those copies?

Re: Bona-Trivia

good one Lee, i was considering asking something similar but was unsure how to word it!
FWIW Joe crossed her out on my copy in person, i was fortunate to have a chance to ask for his sig in person - i guess it was a meet and greet or maybe back when he came out after shows. It came with some sort of commentary which i have forgotten
