Re: bad news from my site .........

Wish you all the best and strenght in this hard time. Like Annelies mentioned, try to cherish all the memories you have from your friend/family.
It's always hard to loose someone you love.

Re: bad news from my site .........

Well thanks everyone, I am feeling a little better, as those great memories tend to flood after the subsides!  Hopefully Geko you are too...

Not quite ready to Rock On yet, but I do Keep the Faith,
Rocket

p.s.-I no longer need to run and hide my anger, frustrations, tears & fears in drugs and alcohol.  Tried that at my worst hours, did nothing worthwhile, only exacerbated them all!

Re: bad news from my site .........

Hallo Rocket,

Wish you all the strenght and power you need. Like we say in Holland: every disadvantage has its advantage! I know it is true. As I said before : lost my parents and sister very young due to cancer, but the relationship with people who were there when I needed them is much, much tighter!
And I know more than ever,  family, reel friends, music etc. are the most important things in life! I appreciate everyday more than before they passed away.

Wish you all the best.

Andre Wittebroek.

And, thus, the nature of the Blues and its bittersweet appeal.  There is a lot of crap and suffering in the world.  But there is also beauty and joy.  2 sides of the same coin.  Reminds me of the movie "Unforgiven" where the kid says to Eastwood, "Well, I guess he had it coming."  And Eastwood says back, "Kid, we all got it coming."  Best wishes to Geko and all who have lost friends and loved ones.

Edited to add a note of optimism so it doesn't sound like such a downer post. . . And all of the above are reasons for appreciating and enjoying the good people and good things in our lives while they last.  Carpe diem.
