Topic: A blast from the past Live in Studio 2003

A promotional appearance for Joe's first trip into Oklahoma City had him live in Studio 7 on the KRXO Sunday Night Blues Cruise 11-02-2003. Recently uploaded to Soundcloud and thought people might want to hear this rarity. I posted one song from it in another thread (Pain and Sorrow Appreciation) I had a request for more so I uploaded the entire show complete with interviews.

That was awesome Jim thanks for posting. Joe sounds like he had a little southern twang going on.

Thanks Jim, that's awesome!  I LOVE the old stuff!  I also lament the fact that I didn't discover Joe until 2010.  All those early shows I missed in my own backyard...  :fp

Thanks again Jim!

I saw where you posted two of the songs from the broadcast on Y Tube back in '12 with some great photos ... hope you don't mind a re-post of the links:

Thanks for posting these links again. I put that together a couple of years ago feeling nostalgic and hadn't watched lately. I hope people enjoy seeing some good times resurrected as much as I did.

Re: A blast from the past Live in Studio 2003

I can't get enough of this, it's my second evening immersing myself in this bit of nostalgia and Joe's incredible playing. I wish I'd seen this line-up, Eric's bass lines are up there with the best and the guitar on the opening of ANDY is simply stunning. P&S ain't bad either. wink

I've listened to this a few times and it still blows me away.  Great interview and his mini-set is off the charts outstanding.  Thanks again for sharing!!

I need to edit this post because the "Guitar Solo intro Pain and Sorrow" part of the broadcast might be the greatest live recording of...anything, ever!  Wow!!
