One of the greatest guitarists ever!! And he's been nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and would've been 60 this year!! Wish I could've had the chance to see him live!!

I saw him for the one and only time during this time period which ended with the Alpine Valley show. That is really how I remember it I was 8th row left center. Loudest guitar stage volume I had ever heard and that holds true today. It was so loud I had to get up out of my seat to make sure anybody else was even playing. It didn't really matter it was mesmerizing. Never had that feeling again till Joe in 2002. Mesmerizing that is not loud. My left ear was so damaged by Stevie that I wore ear plugs for every show after that until I heard Joe. Have yet to wear them at a Joe show.
