Topic: KTBA Cruise Wishlist

Needless to say I'm a little bit excited about this. I missed the LBC that Joe played but to tell you the truth I'm kinda glad I did because now the lineup is shaping up to be way better than the other Blues Cruise in my opinion.

Just a few additional guests that I think would make the cruise memorable. Not any big names although I certainly wouldn't cry if another headline type act were added. Here is my list and reasons why.

Chris Cain, Has ties to Robben Ford and Joe I know is a fan.
Monster Mike Welch, From Boston one of the better Strat Blues players I have seen. Has a solo career and plays guitar with Sugar Ray Norcia. Here he is on a Tele https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBZ0Gj967mk
Matt Schofield, English Blues Shredder. I have never seen but would like to.
Ainsley Lister, """""""""""""
VATA, """"""""""
Davey Knowles, I have know Idea what he is doing other than an occasional show here and there but invite him just to jam.
The Steepwater Band, I have been fans for awhile and they just keep getting better. Their guitar player front man Jeff Massey, is a bad **** player and nice guy.

Another of my favorites The Mighty Orq, He can do a solo thing or a band thing. One of the best voices that nobody has heard out there.

Simo, JD Simo I have been watching since 2003 or 04 He has a Acid Blues Rock trio going right now. He is a scary good player and someone to watch.

Re: KTBA Cruise Wishlist

I would love to see Gary Hoey join the line up. He is a killer strat  player. He is heavy into rock blues now. His latest cd Deji Blues is killer. He also is a good friend and neighbor of mine and is over my studio often. I have attended many of his shows backstage and helped out from time to time. A really nice guy. Reminds me a lot of Joe.
Well that is my wish list.
Cheers Ron

Jim, Matt Scofield and Davy Knowles were on my wish list when this was first announced, but you left off someone who, in my opinion, would be the icing on the cake: Beth Hart! We can all have our daydreams can't we?!

Well, I just was at Aynsley Listers Bluemonday gig at Muddy's Club in Weinheim. Indeed he highly i s to recommend for such a cool event. His latest CD " Home" with all those hammer compositions, professional singing, sexy voice and good guitar playing would guarantee a lot of fun and let the people enjoy and feel good.

I was trying to mention others than the obvious which would be

Beth, Bonnie, Derek and Susan, Warren all would be great additions and no brainers. wink Just thought of another Robert Cray.

I was looking at the LBC lineup and there are few headliners and many obscure, at least to me. I'm not up on the current blues artists, so in keeping with that and Joe's theme of KTBA artists, that lean to the rock side of blues, or at least not on the typical blues boat lineup. We here that seem to like our blues to rock, or at least like a blues guy that can play outside of the blues if necessary.

My first three are more traditional blues but major serious guitar players which this boat has the master and his mentor so to speak with Robben. Robben is not embraced by the purist crowd and neither are the last few suggestions I made,  I mean Wish List.

Re: KTBA Cruise Wishlist

I'll add a few. Ryan McGarvey would be nice. Lots of us want to see him.  Then there's Albert Castiglia. He's a Florida local and a real entertainer. Good guy for those late night jams. Eric Steckel would be fun. Young and full of energy. smile

Re: KTBA Cruise Wishlist

How about Sean Chambers and/or Eric Steckle? Both of them reside in Florida if I'm not mistaken.

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?
