Topic: Concert Seating When Redeeming Meet & Greet Packages

I got to meet Joe at the New Orleans show November 26th. Super nice guy, down to earth. The show itself was excellent as usual. My 3rd time seeing him in the past 12 months. My only complaint is my seats during the concert. I was in the 11th row and I expected much better seats for the price of the "Woke Up Dreaming Lithograph Package". This was my first time using a meet and greet package and still have another to redeem. I called two months before the show to get on the list. What can I do differently next time to get better seating or is this what I should expect next time? Just looking for some advice.

I am not 100% about this but I am thinking that there are x amount of tickets that they get mostly in the 1st 15 rows or so and that's what is given out so I would say its pot luck on what seats you get but 11th row seat is a good seat you are right out there with a good view and the sound is much better then being up front . well that's my 2 cents

I have seen other people have issues as well with their seats from M&G packages. There are only a certain amount of seats held per venue for promotional items such as litho's, pbs tix, and so on. Once those seats get filled then they have to go to the next best thing. I have read people on here that have bought lithos that were a lot farther back than your seats. The Woke Up Dreaming litho was expensive, I also bought that one so I understand your frustration. I hope your next concert is a different story!!

11th row seats sound good to me. Literally and figuratively. If you want to guarantee location then you need to buy seats you want to sit in and redeem the Meet and Greet passes then sell tickets held at Will Call day of show. Sorry if I sound callous but those seats, I don't consider bad. The first 5 rows are released for sale to the public and you have a decent chance at most of those during pre-sale unlike most artists who hold all and sell via secondary market vendors. There has been instances the Litho M&G tickets have been filled in the first 5 rows but it depends on the market and ticket office practices.

Know when the pre-sales are and get tickets immediately when they go on sale....I've seen Joe 9 times and I am holding seats for 2 more shows this spring....I have seen Joe from the 1st or 2nd row almost every show! My seats for next year are also 1st and 2nd row...I will say this, though...since most of us sit for the majority of the show, and since Joe gives such a great show...just about any seat is a good one...and the sound is optimal in the middle of the venue

Thanks for all the replies. The 11th row seating wasn't bad and Joe does put on a helluva show. Lesson learned. I'll probably follow murfdog's advice because I'll never have a shot at a drum stick or sunglasses from the 11th row.
