Topic: On this day in JUNE Bonahistory

Please see post #38 for updated June list

Since 6/1 was light, here is a short 4 post segment from the Deep Purple fan fourm from 2005 that I stumbled across - members were talking up Joe's UK dates for May-June 2005. Cool too see the buzz going back.
http://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/t4926

Thanks for the compliments (they are compliments aren't they? smile - and suggestions - but Jane H. has been a great help in forwarding info - so kudos to her.)

As the "Mid May and on" list grew, I knew the current form wouldn't work in the long term.  Going monthly was a good suggestion.    MAY Bonahistory is now a seperate post "On this day in MAY Bonahistory".  It will probably need to be found via the search bar.  (I will someday go back from the 21st to fill in the month.)

As said, I am trying to find early 2000's and Bloodline dated info for these months periods - don't have much free time right now - I can hear some questioning laughter out there - so it may take awhile -  assuming it can be found by net searching.

Thanks to all with your info and comments,
Sam (RCB)

PS: I know I have read in the past, some members don't like it when someone replies to a post and they copy the prior post into their reply.  I may get screamed at when it happens here and the list is repeated.  (I have been deleting my prior day's list as I post a new one - just to shorten the topic pages as much as possible.)

JBLP#251 (unaged) ... thank you Ron.

Re: On this day in JUNE Bonahistory

From me nothing but accolades for this Herculean task and thanks to all the helpers too. I might suggest that as months go by you can let them traverse to the back pages and just add a link at the top on the current months lead in, or have a sticky made for the links to past files.

Re: On this day in JUNE Bonahistory

I'm enjoying the evolution of the idea, as well.

Thanks to all who are helping bring this together.  I would assist with more dates/events, but haven't had much time, myself.

Managing to keep up with forums just a bit better of late, at least.

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

PS: RickB, JBF4L, cindyron and Rocket - thank you for your comments!!

Dude, thank-YOU for your idea!  I am digging the Dickens out of this, only trouble is my Wandering Earth mind cannot retain the details at this time, so repeated looks will keep us up to date on that Joe B History Thread by sewing the "quilts" on!

Sew Fine. big_smile Brilliance...

Interested in the research source material and all ancillary tech age bureaucrats, any who've got it, let 'em out of early museum antiquity collection...uhm, pretty please?  No time like the present.  The BIG PICTURE is getting pretty big!!!  So, the more "minor" something may seem,  the better the value in the jigsaw puzzle, if ya know what I mean. cool

I am totally amazed by Joe Bonamassa, and any historical notation I read zones me out on how freaking prolific Joe Bonamassa is, has always been!  THANKS!

Re: On this day in JUNE Bonahistory

I was at that show at the Bull Run on June 5, 2007 - first time I saw Rick and Carmine, too, and also first time I met Joe at the bus.  Here are a few (very bad - old, old camera) from that night.  The picture of Joe at the end is with my (now) daughter-in-law.  I remember at the time the ads said "see him now because he won't be playing small places like this for long."  Guess they got that one right.

Love this thread - jogging a lot of great memories.

Here's a heads up for 6/6 - You and Me released on 6/6/06.

Re: On this day in JUNE Bonahistory

Thanks Kenny..but you stole my thunder big_smile.  I had come across some of these '02 dates and was looking forward to when I can post them - finding older stuff has been difficult.  Glad to have these '02's confirmed though. I had the 7th...but you did fill in a couple of holes I see I had, so a big thanks.  I'll blend this '02 tour in with others years I was able to find for the dates.

If the June post gets too long, will have to go to Plan C - list tours by year.(??)  Hope not....I have enjoyed seeing a reply or two pop up each day when a date appears, a Forum member recalling a story.  Has made this enjoyable.  And from day one , was hoping the history wouldn't be just a tour log (that goal may take awhile though as this thing shapes up.)

Boston, about 200 miles from where I lived in New York at the time. Columbia, more of less the 400.  If you flew in and out of NYC, about 180...  You sure get around!!! wink big_smile

Re: On this day in JUNE Bonahistory

It was Columbia on the 14th I was at, not Columbus. Was also at Boston on the 11th. Keep up the great work though.

My apologies. A case of mistaken identity!! After a thorough review of the surveillance tapes, our investigating team determined you are correct...you were not there in Columbus. big_smile

Thanks for the clear up...and these '02 dates.

Re: On this day in JUNE Bonahistory

Those other pictures you posted from Newport were taken probably by the guy who kept getting in my way most of the night - lol.  The coolest part of that whole night was the guitar rack was not able to be set up next to the stage so all night Dave and Joe were passing all these awesome guitars right over our heads.  This was a fun night, but in retrospect a sad one - this was the last time we were able to see Joe in such a small venue (good for Joe, but I do miss such places).
