Re: Beacon Theatre Pictures and Videos

Just added in a number of photos from the Saturday night show and Friday night. Don't often get to see Joe perform with guests, so it's cool to have photos of Joe jamming with Billy Squier, Blondie and Earl Slick. Wish I had some of Warren Haynes, but those videos were already moved off the memory card so can't get the stills using the camera.

It's no wonder Tal throws his drumsticks out to the crowd. He beats the hell out of them. They could never be used twice.

Re: Beacon Theatre Pictures and Videos

Battered drumsticks are the norm for any good drummer after a set.  Rims and cymbal edges can do major damage.  Tend to look like a beaver has been at them, in the worst situations.  That one doesn't look as bad as some I've seen.

Thanks to both of you for sharing.

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

Yeah, not quite as bad as some. I saw one that Rick had gotten from a Rock Candy show and the beaver analogy fit it perfectly. The entire center was chewed away and it had a crack in it. Who knows, the one I got could even have been one of a few he used that night. This one was worse looking on the other side, but I wanted to show Tal's name in the picture.
