Wow Natasha great sound...how did your holder work out?
Cheers Ron

Phil said it made it so much easier to hold the iphone. The recording sounds good after a preliminary hearing. Need to upload it to really know. I think it's going to be quite good.

Love all of them they came out great. Great to meet you both see you soon.
Cheers Ron

The quality on this video (and audio) is pretty amazing.  What equipment did you use for the recording?  Btw, I was about eight rows behind you.  Amazing show!  It's great to relive it through your videos.

The camera is a small point and shoot Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS20. It is an unbelievable camera which packs amazing capabilities into a tiny package. It has a leica lens, records in HD and has stereo microphones which are nearly incapable of overloading. For the Just Got Paid video the camera was literally 5 inches from the stage speakers and although the sound is somewhat heavier on that recording versus the others, it is in no way horribly distorted or unpleasant to listen to. It handled it better than my own ears did. Both Rick and Pete the cabby have panasonic lumix cameras as well. And the best part is they only cost about $300. Well worth it for the quality you get. Glad you enjoyed the videos. The best part about doing them is being able to watch an amazing performance over again whenever you want and allowing others that same opportunity.

Hi Natasha
I tip my hat to you and Rick for providing stellar vids and as I said a pleasure to meet you and your husband and Rick and the gang. I hope BonaVegas becomes a regular event. Cheers Ron

Re: BonaVegas

All I can say is " Ginger Baker Aint Got Nothin In The World These Days "  Tal is burning it up .  Lord Have Mercy !!!!    But of course we all know Mr Baker is in a league of his own . But Mr Bergman is riding his coat tails like a Jockey Full Of Bourbon.  LOL  graet job by the whole band .

Re: BonaVegas

Thanks Ron, and I hope it becomes an anual event as well. Last two songs from the show "Seagull" http://youtu.be/fN6VTshLdsE
and "Jockey Full of Bourbon"  http://youtu.be/V-vCzg3Qd9E

These are little more shaky. This is only the third time I have filmed a show, so I am still learning and the hardest thing is keeping still. I am proud of how these all turned out and I wonder if I will ever be able to get as good as this again. They are definitely a result of sitting in the best possible location and being in a venue with extremely good sound and acoustics. And the white suit against the dark background definitely made for a wonderful contrast of colors.
I am very thankful to Nancy(way2optimistic) who I don't even know, but who put up on twitter the "Ballad of John Henry". The version Joe and the band played that night was absolutely epic in my mind. At every show there is always one solo that Joe does that blows me away. At the Guitar Center Blues Contest it was "Dust Bowl", at the Warner it was something new and different in "Just Got Paid", at the Baked Potato it was "Ode to Gee", and here it was "John Henry". Seeing him perform that with the intensity that he did has made up for the fact that I wasn't able to go to the London shows. I'm glad Nancy shared this so others could experience it, too.
Also want to thank Tal for putting "Young Man Blues/Yonders Wall" on twitter. I feel so honored that he chose to share my video of him with everyone. It was so nice to meet him again in Vegas and so great that his family could be there with him. I can't imagine how hard it must be to tour when you have a family that you miss. Hope they enjoy Chicago.
Joe, I hope you don't think I was working the system by meeting you two days in a row. The meet and greet was totally unexpected and only the result of being at the right place at the right time. Phil and I just happened to be milling about by the entrance to the theater, wasting time before going over to the Loose Caboose when a man came up to me and offered me an extra meet and greet wristband he had since his friend never showed up. Only an idiot would have said no to that. There was a moment of panic when I realized I had no "Plan" for this meeting. You always have to have a Plan when you meet Joe or else you just stand there like a deer in the headlights stammering incoherently. Then we realized we had the iphone holder I made so we figured I could talk to him about recording the show and get him to sign it. Phew, that was a close one.

Sorry this has gone on so long, but I also have to say once again how wonderful it was to meet and hang out with everyone. There really is something special about the people who follow Joe. Even though you may have only met them once before or even for the first time, there is such a feeling of familiarity as if you have known them your whole life. Thanks to everyone for such a wonderful weekend and a big thank you to Joe, Tal, Carmine and Arlan!

Re: BonaVegas

Watching these tremedous video's and thank you so much for doing them. I cant help but say that Joe is playing and PERFORMING with more confidence than ever. I kid you not , this band is the BOMB .  If I had my way , it would be a different suit every night . Im looking for Joe to come out on stage at the State in Minneapolis with a Zebra pattern suit. Do it my man , you can pull ANYTHING off right now . You are rideing one hell of a wave . I have been waiting all my life ( 64 ) for a band like this . It cant be too flamboyant for me . After all , its show buisness . I tell all my friends and they know Im a Bonamassa junky. I rarely listen to Joe unless its a DVD or a live show. Because for me , its the spectacal . Bring on all the outragousness you can muster up. Because there is no band anywhere right now that matches this freeking deal. I appologize for all the posts lately but I do get stoked leading up to going to a show. Sorry for any mispelling , Im not a scholar , just a way huge music fan.

Then consider it done by then. In the meantime, this was put up to the head of the list as a favor to OperaAce who was blown away by Joe's passionate delivery in Las Vegas. Sloe Gin, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KY7CPMUCU58
And to flatsman, you are surely bitten as hard as any of us. Welcome to a healthy dose of BonaMania.

Thanks to all who have posted videos and links  and reviews of this great weekend.   So hope he does it next year, too.   I think Joe seems to be on fire in these videos.  He justs seems to be having such a great time.  I love my bonafamily because they share the wealth.   Love it.
