So many highights from an amazing week but seeing Joe play Rory's Strat "in the flesh" was right up there for me - brilliantly captured Pete

this is my first attempt sat in row 16
Your first attempt looks pretty good to me! Thank you so much!!!
I was unable to make any of the London concerts, so to be able to watch so many fantastic videos is a real thrill. Thanks to everyone for letting us all see and hear what you experienced. Those that were there, you were privileged - those that weren't get the next best thing, thanks to your kindness. Brilliant.

According to Bernie's interview in guitarist mag (issue 353), the loaned guitar was an SG. Moore asked to borrow "The Beast" but Bernie turned him down with the phrase "No, but I do love a trier"
I think "The Beast" pretty much never left Bernie's side from the mid 70's to present day. Joey B being the only other person to have taken her out in public
Gotta love the history
I've been reading some conflicting reports as to what stars guitars Joe used last night!
Can anyone confirm did he use thee Gary Moore/Peter Green LP???
Bernie Marsdens 'the Beast' has no connection with with GM or PG....
I love this! Where else can we have a discussion on the history of what Buddy Whittington would refer to as deadwood, magnets, switching, solder and wire? Fantastic!
I read that interview and he did say the loves a trier bit but I'm sure I've read elsewhere about all the other legends that have used it and it included Gary Moore - but maybe I'm just imagining it (getting older is a terrible thing). Still, the beast 's pre Bernie history is good enough -Clapton and Kossoff!! What an instrument!
Just announced.....any takers.
Here it is. A bit shaky at times as it starts, then really crazy when I charge the stage for the JGP finale. 22 minutes of Joe, Rory Gallagher's Strat and the legendary Les Paul called The Beast.

Excellent stuff Ric
Awesome footage from you guys. Lovely to see what it was like from downstairs. I was up in the gods. Any footage of the Greeny LP? I thought that sounded tear-jerkingly awesome.
Well done one and all.

Very nice Rick. I have a handful of those "shaky" "JGP" videos - gives a real sense of the moment. I do believe that the guitar used for "JGP" was Joe's own "Spot", which is what he has been playing that song on since last fall.

I assumed it was because Joe thanked the owner for letting him use it for the gig.
edit: confirmed by another more knowledgeable than me that the Beast was indeed the guitar played in Just Got paid.
Thank you Joe for epic music! Thank you reviewers and posters of videos. Unreal week of excitement.

Perhaps there is more than one guitar known as "The Beast" because it doesn't look like the one Bernie is playing in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNwcqBJXHyI

Looks like Spot to me. No covers on the pickups and the spot of color near the rear strap attachment.
