Re: Page and Plant

Jim, you will love the reunion show. Too bad you missed the airing in theaters because it was special. Like being there long ago with the band at near old time playing levels with the same people we went with then. All graying and having seen plenty of miles but with the same enthusiasm intact big_smile . Sure they are geezer class musicians now, just like this geezer class fan. hmm but they still could bring it.
Like you, nowadays I'm not so sure.

This may not be a popular opinion but I saw LZ in 1970 which so happened to be my first concert ever. 12 years old. I almost prefer to remember them that way. Have yet to see the reunion show DVD Maybe that would confirm or alter my opinion on that. I do have the DVD released a few years ago and it was of course a great reminder of them at not only their beginnings but their peak as well. I just wonder if it would be disappointing now to see them in their waning years. Hope to see the Heart sisters with Jason this summer. They can still pull of some serious Zep covers. Just watch the Kennedy Center honors.

I dont think you would be disappointed in JP.  Plant's voice hasnt aged well, imo, but then Ive always thought he tried to do a little too much with his voice. Ive always preferred Daltrey, Marriott and Rodgers (I know, not directly comparable, but you get the idea)
