Topic: Rock Candy Funk Party

Some photos from the Baked Potato. Lighting was very dim and didn't want to disturb them with a flash so somewhat dark and a little grainy

Grainy or not, these are super.  Almost made me feel like I was there.

Wish the fans had nametags on so we could see who they are.

Ha ha Joe's Diet Coke gets its own shot!

About how many does the Potato hold?  Looks really small.  Too bad more can't enjoy these coooo-ell events.

Thanks a lot Natasha!!

Re: Rock Candy Funk Party

The Baked Potato holds about 45 seated in an ell around the "stage", another 20 maybe seated up on the bar level towards the back of the building and if really crushed, maybe another 20 standing at the back and bar. We asked one of the guys who works there and he said the most ever was 90, and they were packed in like sardines. The band plays literally 3 ft from front tables. The people on the side near Ron and Mike nearly get their heads knocked by the necks of their guitars and bass. Joe hit his head on his microphone while jamming, you'll see it eventually in one of the videos. Very small intimate place.

Lots of great shots!

Re: Rock Candy Funk Party

Thanks. I had to take them when they were standing as still as possible. Due to the dim lighting, the shutter speed had to be so slow so any movement became blur. That's why so many are of Joe just holding his guitar and not playing it.

Re: Rock Candy Funk Party

Great shots!  Diet cokes....classic.  The keys/chords list, very cool.  I guess the "D-" is D-flat and I wonder what is meant by the exclamation marks, e.g. "D- !!!!"
