I knew Tyler had a dedicated thread on here, somewhere....

Just wanted to re-affirm that Tyler's "lockdown" album Pressure is an absolute blast, and conditions aside, strong contender for album of the year.

he seems to have shaken off the excesses of the 80s hair-metal that flavoured Truth & Lies, but retained the power and combined it perfectly with his stunning Blues feel. Add a collaboration from his Larkin Poe wife Rebecca Lovell and a guest vocal from Blackberry Smoke's Charlie Starr and you've got a perfect distillation of 2020.

I do think its an excellent  album.
However I do find Truth and  Lies to have better hooks overall .And it really is  more of a rock  album straight  up . Although I never hear the 80’s hair metal in it as much  myself.
Pressure is more blues infused.

Caught two TBSD shows over the weekend - Friday night in Huntsville, AL and Saturday in Nashville, TN.

Saturday night in Nashville was off the charts. Because it was a hometown show for them, there were a handful of special guests: Larkin Poe sisters Rebecca (Tyler's wife) and Megan Lovell, Jared James Nichols, former TBSD bass player Noah Denney, and none other than Aerosmith's Brad Whitford (Zach Whitford was taking video and shooting pics all weekend).

Friday night's show in Huntsville was also tons of fun. Plus we made a pit stop in Muscle Shoals and visited Muscle Shoals Sound Studio which was awesome.

These were my 9th and 10th shows and I can't even say which one I have enjoyed the most. These boys bring it each and every time they play. We just have a blast when seeing them live.

Ace Monroe was the opening act both nights and they were a lot of fun. A bunch of young, talented guys also proving that rock and roll is alive and well in the younger generation.

This was the best weekend I've had in a long time. Lots of car time listening to tunes and me and my bestie laughing our a$$es off the whole time. That plus two nights of great music = good for the soul!

The guys have a feature in the latest Classic Rock magazine (#330); following them on an old vinyl buying trip.

I caught one more show in June. It was a 4-band festival with Larkin Poe headlining and TBSD playing right before them. I think the boys only played for an hour which is never enough. It was fun to finally see Larkin Poe. Honestly it had been a long day driving and it was 96 degrees outside. I was not feeling my best but still enjoyed it.
