Topic: Under-rated Guitarists!

who in your opinion deserved more than they got?
here's a couple that i think should've been more known for their guitar-playing:
Mark knofler, Lindsey Buckingham, SnowyWhite, James Gurely, Sam Andrew,...
there's lots more but these are the ones in mind now...

Brad Whitford.

Re: Under-rated Guitarists!

I was also going to say Brad Whitford.  But I will give you Lincoln Brewster.  Not everybody's cup of tea given that he is now a Christian artist, but he did a stint with Steve Perry in the early 90s when Love For Strange Medicine came out.  Good song writer, studio engineer and a great guitarist.

A couple that come to mind are Melvin Taylor and Sean Chambers. Oh and Wes Jeans, Ansley Lister and Dave Hole.

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?

+1 on Wes Jeans. Paul Barrere, Dickie Betts, Martin Barre, Darryl Steurmer just off the top of my head.

well yes i think he is... i feel that alot of guitarists are more famous than him simply because people think the fastest guitarists are the best, but that's totally wrong, the best guitarists have much more than speed, they have rythym and harmony in what they play! i don't want to give names of such guitarists because there might be fans of them here...
